Released in 1991, Liberty is one of the four hybrid triploid Hallertauer noble aroma varieties. With a nose similar to that of Hallertauer this mild yet slightly spicy variety has been used in many Pilsners, Bocks, US Wheat beers, Kolsch, and Belgian style beers. Liberty takes two seasons generally to establish; however, with well drained, acidic soil it has proven to have an impressive brewing profile.
