NY98.0228.02 is the first truly seedless Concord-type grape offering a flavorful berry with the attractive blue coloring of a Concord at nearly double the size. With its large and very productive vines, this variety has moderate disease resistance. Enjoy the soft, juicy flavorful fruit from the large clusters of blue seedless slipskin berries. NY98.0228.02 ripens early-to-mid-season and is well adapted to the Northeast, with good cold-tolerance for most of the Eastern states. Bred by Cornell's Bruce Reisch, professor of grapevine breeding and genetics in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences NY98.0228.02 is being exclusively licensed to Double A Vineyards in Fredonia, New York, for the next 10 years.
