Fig Trees for Sale

With mentions as far back as ancient texts, fig trees have been a staple of humankind since the dawn of time. These popular plants offer a delicious and easy-to-grow fruit that come in an array of shapes, sizes, and colors. Far from being difficult to manage or requiring extreme temperatures for growth - just fertile soil with plenty of sun is all they need! Plus, when planting your own tree there are literally no chill hour requirements needed; most varieties can tolerate cold down to 20 degrees Fahrenheit (with some even hardier, tolerating single digits). Just remember not to over fertilize on planting day and set it two inches deeper than its original potting depth before watering regularly – then you'll be sure to see bumper crops year after year!

Our Fig Varieties

If you're looking to buy fig trees, Double A Vineyards is the best place to look. Specifically, we offer four varieties of fig trees: Olympian, Chicago Hardy, Kadota and Violette de Bordeaux.

Here are some of the characteristics of each:

- Olympian Fig Trees are a medium-sized variety that produce dark purple-colored fruits that have a sweet, syrupy flavor.
- Chicago Hardy Fig Trees are the most cold hardy variety, able to survive temperatures down to single digits! These trees produce small yellowish green figs with a distinctively sweet taste.
- Kadota Fig Trees produce large, light green fruit with a soft texture and sweet flavor.
- Violette de Bordeaux Fig Trees are an old-fashioned variety producing medium to large fruits that turn from green to purplish-brown when ripe. They have a delicious, sweet flavor and make great preserves or jams.

Each variety has been carefully selected for its superior yields and disease resistance as well as its adaptability to a wide range of growing conditions. With proper care, these fig trees can produce up to two crops per year – one in early summer and another in the fall - providing you with delicious fruit all season long!
